Many things keep you in your comfort zone and prevent you from moving towards the success you deserve. One is your ability to “unleash your assertiveness”. This is an essential quality for making and sustaining long lasting change. This will also support you to show up as your powerful self and play a bigger role in your life!
How do you rate?
Ask yourself the following questions:
o Does it feel like your schedule is running you?
o Are you too busy to stop and plan your day?
o Do your to-do lists get longer and don’t actually move you forward?
o Do you fill unfulfilled and unsuccessful at the end of your day?
o Do you have trouble saying no or feel pressured to please everyone?
o Do you find yourself avoiding certain people?
o Do people seem to always misunderstand what you are trying to say?
o Do you tolerate behaviors that you find unacceptable?
o Do you feel like you have to justify your wants and needs?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, you can benefit from taking a RISK to “unleash” your assertiveness by changing your restrictive thinking and or behavior.
Start by choosing just one of the points above to begin working on each day for the next week. You’ll find by taking even the smallest step, you’ll create a shift in your awareness, and that in turn will open up more opportunities to unleash your assertiveness. Starting with just one will prevent overwhelm and allow you to fine-tune as needed. It will also help you build confidence in your “true” capability to change and naturally, that will increase your willingness to stretch and claim your powerful self.
Key point — Nothing will change, unless you make it happen! Pay attention to any restrictive thinking like – all or nothing or waiting for the perfect time.
