You can exercise your power – even in these times

These days you don’t have to look very hard - or go without someone or something reminding you - to know we are in  tough times. Many individuals and businesses are making adjustments, or pondering what they may need to do if something should happen.

Maybe you have suffered a job loss, or are worried a spouse might. Maybe you are choosing not to participate in the recession but hearing of the current economic situation in the media is increasing your stress and affecting day-to-day life balance. Perhaps you are contemplating whether you should still go after your goals and dreams given these times. You may even find yourself reacting to what others are saying, allowing irrational fears to hold you back from your personal power and what you are capable of.

Wherever you are, however you’re approaching these times, the uncertainty we are in will improve.  In order to remain a confident, empowered woman able to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves, you will need to be ready. Because they will come.  I believe they are not very far away, if you are open to see them!

**Opportunity to fulfill your dreams and goals — has NOT left the planet!!

When your opportunity comes where will you be?

Climbing your way back to your confident powerful self from a place of exhaustion, worry, fear, doubt or avoidance?Personal power This is not a very promising situation.

Or will you be poised even stronger, more focused, at the top of your game ready and positioned to accelerate the opportunities you have created? Now you’re talking!

There are really only 2 choices here!

This is not just what I think. It is what I know personally.

As a professional woman in these challenging times, I too have had to make adjustments and work smarter. I have also learned to “pay attention” to how I may not realize I am reacting to the circumstances in the world or even to how others are reacting. As a result, I am using this time to raise my own consciousness and exercise my power by “choosing” not to fill my head with limiting thoughts. Rather, I stay calm, get advice and allow support, so I can make intelligent choices and trust myself to stay on my course through  my journey to success.

You know the saying – Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. I don’t want to just “last”, I want to thrive by continuing to use my power found in my Power Zone everyday! You can too!!

Here are 3 tips to help you exercise your personal power right now and not wait until things change:

1)  Take your worries out of your head by putting them in writing. Your subconscious mind will keep trying to solve them until you get them out and face them. Doing so will release the hold that the negative energy has on you and allow you to see it for what it is – real or irrational.

2)  Take the real (rational) concerns that you discover and make a plan of action to resolve them. Perhaps you might find an opportunity, one you didn’t see before. Even if you see just one step you can take, take it. Then watch what it does for your confidence and the doors that start to open.

3)  Allow support! It’s a myth that confident women don’t need support. Those who have heard me speak know I am passionate about this and practice what I preach. Even I have a coach! Don’t needlessly suffer or waste time.  Allow support and start thriving again.

I challenge you to throw away the notion that you cannot reach your goals because of personal obstacles or the economy! There is an opportunity waiting for you. You just need to remain in touch with your personal power – your Power Zone – then listen and look for the “not so obvious” possibilities.  You may even be guided to a new and exciting path you wouldn’t have otherwise found if you weren’t challenged to do so. That’s how most of my opportunities have come, and they have always been the best ones!

To the power in you!!
