The key to making life transforming changes!

 

EvidenceThere is a universal principle for transforming our lives into the dreams and visions we all secretly desire. That is, when trying to change – something has to change!  It’s that simple.

You can’t keep doing what you’re doing and expect a different result. Well, you can, but that would just be crazy-making and not a good use of your precious time and energy. However, in your busy, multi-tasking, not enough time – life, it doesn’t always work that simply. That’s because you have routines, habits, and behaviors you’re accustomed to, even if not necessarily working for you. Therefore, the natural tendency is to put off changing and instead keep working to create what is familiar.

How do you break free of this vicious cycle?

When you want to make life transforming changes - you must commit to what you want to see different by deliberately taking action steps that will change your current state and then look for EVIDENCE that the change is happening.

Why look for evidence?

  • Because if you don’t notice the changes starting to take place you’ll only focus on the old patterns, which will reinforce your belief in your lack of ability to change. This will cause you to lose faith in yourself, and you’ll end up justifying, making excuses and generally tolerating. 
  • When you’re looking for evidence, you’re “expecting” to find it. If it’s negative, that’s what you’ll find and that’s what you’ll naturally work to reinforce. If you are looking for positive changes, you will be expecting that and consequently, drawn into actions to create and find it. When you find evidence of your change, your energy and enthusiasm increases and your focus sharpens. All the while, you’ll be reinforcing what is working, and building confidence to make more changes. Until ultimately you will create and manifest, what you desire!

How do you look for evidence?

Pay attention to even the smallest shifts or indicators that things are changing. It could show up in your thoughts desiring it, or in your energy level shifting to support it, or your attitude, and what you expect for yourself and the “choices” you start to make differently as a result. Each of these transformations: thoughts, energy and attitude (choices) are key indicators you are preparing to “attract and allow” the change to take place.

When you find the evidence of your personal transformation taking place, document it, celebrate it and keep looking for more evidence. By doing so, the expectations you hold of yourself will rise, supporting you to make choices from a place of confidence and self-honor. And that’s when real transformation happens!
