Beware of giving away your power!

Don’t give away your power! It’s actually a myth that it goes away or someone can take it away. That’s not possible, but I see women give away their power all the time.

Most commonly, women do this through their words. 

• We tell people how to treat us as less than we are.
• We tell ourselves we are not deserving of more.
• We spin stories in our head (internal chatter) that we’re not capable.

BEWARE – this can sneak up on you and take your power! Power necessary to make conscious choices and take bold steps to create a rewarding fulfilling life.

I feel strongly that what causes this and holds women back is their own self doubt. This robs of them of their personal power because they spend so much energy working against them. This suppresses expectations (desires, hopes, dreams) and as a result powerful thoughts that influence self-honoring, empowering behaviors. Ultimately, this will limit happiness and success. All too often sadly, this becomes the normal pattern. Check in with yourself, do you feel any of this present?

Have no fear – there is hope!!

When a woman recognizes her suppressing thoughts and behaviors and takes proactive steps to change, she will feel fulfilled and her life will begin to change. She’ll be happier, healthier, and more productive. She’ll use her natural gifts, talents, and skills to release her creative expression and inspiration. She’ll have a whole new sense of who she is.

I witness this over and over, the powerful woman craving to be noticed that lies behind the woman who is tired of feeling stuck, tired of going in circles, tired of not feeling in control or confident. And I have witnessed the personal transformation take place when a woman gets reacquainted with her Power and embraces her dormant true self. It’s like coming home!!

So I PROCLAIM — Women need to reach a place where they say nothing about themselves that doesn’t reflect what they want to do, be, or become!
